The homeowners felt that their front porch posts looked too spindly
for this size porch. Originally, the posts were 4x4's that were stained dark brown. I wrapped the posts with 1x6
fir, and added trim to create some very nice square columns. There will be a low bench instead of railing at one end of the
porch. The railings and bench will be also be made of fir. Beaded ceiling
board will also be installed over the existing dark, rough plywood ceiling. Ultimately, everything will
be painted.
